Tap into your child’s artistic side with easy painting ideas for kids! Your child will love exploring and creating with paint.
There are so many painting ideas for kids! Painting is such a staple for art activities with most kids.
Painting is often the first exposure children have to art. Which isn’t surprising.
There are a million different ways to paint!
It’s time to be creative with the kids in a way you’ve never been before!
Even though kids love painting, it can become mundane for the child (not to mention yourself) if all that’s ever used is a paintbrush and paper.
And where’s the creativity in that?
Pablo Picasso said it best:
"All children are artists. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up."
How shall we keep our children as artists as they grow?
A few new ways to paint couldn’t hurt, could it? Grab a new tool to paint with, or a new method of painting, and get creative today!
50 Creative Painting Ideas for Kids
Like I said, there are a million ways to paint. These ideas are just the tip of the iceberg.

Stupid old grandma question: I really love all this information and want to make an “art kit” for my granddaughter—does all this info come in an actual book by any chance?
Tabitha Lightfoot says
Not a stupid question at all! While we don’t have an actual book for these activities, we do have some ebooks in our shop: https://room.handsonaswegrow.com/shop/ and some printed books available on Amazon: Printed Activity Books on Amazon. I hope that helps!
