As you may know, I’m a huge, huge fan of using painter’s tape for activities. It opens up so many possibilities for movement indoors.
One of my amazing newsletter subscribers, Flavia, recently sent me a photo of an activity she’s done with her kids. Of course, using painter’s tape.
I asked her if she’d like to share her idea with my readers too. It’s such a simple idea that can be used for play for days and days. I know my kids will love doing this.
Flavia is here with simple instructions and photos to make a tape city with your kids.
Inspired in your “tape activities”, I made a city with tape in my son’s bedroom.
First, I made the train rails and then we started designing the city itself.
He wanted a park, an airport and a train station.
Once the streets were made, we put his toys in different places and… time to play!
If you have done an activity with your child lately and caught a photo of it, please share it with me! You can contact me by email (the email is at the top of the page) to send me your latest fun!

I love this idea for indoor play. When I was a child, we would make a house from leaves–raking the leaves to create rooms and then enjoying hours of outside pretend play.
