I swear sometimes all I do is shop for shoes for the boys.
George, I think, has grown through three pairs this summer alone. He’s has monstruous feet!

My kids r visual learners, so bc I always bought sneakers with laces & never Velcro, they just learned it by themselves when they were ready. All 3 learned b4 entering per-k. Now my 4th is 2 1/2 & puts her shoes on the correct feet, but is not ready to tie…next year probably.

Great collection of links! We’re working on the same thing at the moment. I have the Melissa and Doug lacing sneaker you mentioned and it’s great for kids to practice on; just the right size and sturdy.

I would love to buy my 18 month old a new pair of shoes, but he wont keep them on his feet! So that leaves me. I have recently started working out on my fifty minute lunch break 5 days a week. Two days a week is zumba, in which they do not allow street shoes on the floor. Since I only own one pair of sneakers I have been doing it barefoot. Ouch! I would LOVE to be able to buy a new pair of sneakers to work out in!

My 2 youngest boys wear through shoes fast than anyone else in this house! And since I’m homeschooling them this year, and because of budget constraints, they weren’t included in the back-to-school shoe shopping that big brother and big sister had. So I would get each of them the new shoes that they really do need – because they can only wear their flip flops for so much longer …
