It's Playtime at hands on : as we grow

Happy Birthday George!
You’re 1 year old today!

A celebration to you here on It’s Playtime!
A virtual birthday party from some of our playdate friends!

So happy to see that someone brought the cake and cupcakes to the party!
Thanks to Create with your Hands for bringing the play dough cake and the pom pom mini cupcakes were courtesy of Learning 4 Kids, this will be a true birthday party!

And what’s a party without some activities?
For a 1st birthday party, I thought these activities would be great for the day.

Above, from left to right:

  • First we’ll start the party with art, with some fun no-mess finger painting from Toddler Approved! Cut out leaves are a perfect idea for the beginning of fall.
  • After some art, we’ll definitely have to get moving with a round of Utensil Hockey, a brilliant idea from Homeschool Jungle.
  • By the end of the birthday party, it’ll be time to get messy, of course! Courtesy of MamaPeaPod, ketchup painting will be perfect for these young toddlers.
  • A party’s not a party without a favor to send home with the kids, and these ribbon twirlers from Pre-school Play would be easy and cheap to make!
High Five to these play friends!

Such cute ideas. I'm filing them away for when my soon-to-be born son turns 1!
