I did this activity a couple years ago at Christmas with Henry. I found it on No Time for Flash Cards.
I reused some scrap wrapping paper pieces and cut out a Christmas tree shape in four different wrapping paper patterns. I glued these to a large piece of paper in a row.
I also cut some [very rough] squares to act as presents.
I mixed up the presents into a pile and Henry’s task was to match the present to their Christmas tree.
He glued each present underneath their matching Christmas tree.
You could also do this with just colored pieces of paper and would be a great color reinforcement activity!
Henry was 2.5 years old.
