A simple, sensory activity for the spring and summer months. This cloud themed water play is a fun sensory play setup with very little prep.
Find a tub to fill with water. You can set this outside to make for super easy clean up, or put it in the bathtub. Otherwise put a sheet or shower curtain underneath to catch spills.
Add a little blue food coloring to the water to make it look like the sky. Add cotton balls, glitter (if desired! Its fun!), and some cups.
If you have any other fun blue items around the house, go ahead and add them too. Maybe make a hunt for your child to see what they can find.
Use the cotton balls to soak up the water and then squeeze it out to make it rain.
Keep some dry cotton balls to talk about the difference in their textures.
You can also squeeze out the water from the cotton balls into the cups to fill them up.
