Excellent reminder! As moms we do things with our kids, but do we ever get Dad and everyone else in the house involved? I think you and Anna could write a book based on this 30 day challenge. Especially in this day and age when everyone is going going all the time and staring at technology and etc. it's like we are together, but we are not really together doing things and acknowledging each other. Our world needs to me reminded each day!
My son and husband did some "family" time together playing puzzles today! They also loved island jumping and making volcanoes with couch cushions yesterday.
I'm excited for when I get home from my girls weekend and can play along too. Hope you're having a fabulous weekend!
We love board games, so this is an easy one for us!!!
Hi Jamie. This is a lovely one for Sundays. It should be a perment linky party- Family funday Sunday! Will let you know what we get up to later
Ruth – I am all for that kind of linky party! What a great idea! My hubbie is a very hands on dad, but like me we find we play for about 10 minutes many times a day. Challenging ourselves to play for longer periods of time encourages us to use our imaginations more and helps us extend our play as a family! My family is really enjoying the challenge =) and learning more about each other!
We had loads of fun on this one. Again lasted so much longer than the 15 mintues.
We played bean bag toss today as a family. I wrote a post but i'm behind on writing all of my others so it will be up later this week!
Thanks for the challenge this is fun and a great way to kick off our busy week!
I love the pic of Daddy coloring with the kids; that is how we do a lot of family time… At least until they're a little older for games. Although they do like Elefun!
We've got to do this one yet…with
Dad. I've got to pull out the board games and get him playing with us! Thanks for linking up to Monday Madness.
Glad you shared this on Monday Madness. I was up to doing your challenge and then the weekend hit and we were again running here and there and everywhere and I let it slide. This is a great reminder to me to start over again tomorrow. Love the family game night. I want that to be something we do weekly.
Thank you so much for doing this. My children are very important to me and I enjoy spending time with them already. We are in the middle of moving and I have been overwhelmed with all the things that need to be done. My brain seems to only have room for packing, cleaning, yard work, cooking ect. Playing has become a challenge for me. These challenges have helped me so much, they have helped me to actually be less stressed because I know that I am spending quality time with my kids. So far none of the activities we have done together have stayed in the 15 min goal but have gone over into 45 and up to hours of pure playing. Thanks again for helping me play with my kids during such a difficult move.
Thanks for the smile you just put on my face Cindy. It does help so you’re less stressed, doesn’t it? And everyone just seems happier all around. I’m glad its working for you and you’re spending hours of pure playing with your kids
Truly puts a smile on my face.
