Time for Shoes with Shoelaces

I swear sometimes all I do is shop for shoes for the boys.

George, I think, has grown through three pairs this summer alone. He’s has monstruous feet!

And Henry has actually been wearing through his shoes this summer! I can’t believe how much he wears them out!

But, I suppose they’re boys. And boys will be boys, right?

I think I may get shoes with shoelaces for Henry this time…  I think its about time for him to start practicing [a little, at least] tying.

We’ll have to try some of these great tips to practice shoe tying:

  • Salsa Pie made shoe cards with real shoe laces and ‘life-size’ shoes.
  • Use a shoe box and cut holes for ribbons. Teach Mama shows you how to practice with the ribbons!
  • Add a song and a rhyme to your shoe tying fun! AngeliqueFelix.com shares her beautiful voice.
  • JDaniel4′s Mom suggests using Dad’s shoes. Every kid wants to be like Dad, right?
  • There’s an app for that! OT’s with Apps shares an app and how to use it to learn to tie your shoes.

Some nifty products we’ll need to try out, too:

Perfect timing! Famous Footwear has an awesome selection for boy shoes! And right now they have an awesome deal for back to school [much needed here!]. They’re offering their BOGO half off, but also 15% off on top of that! [See all the details and get the coupon at BOGO + 15% off Famous Footwear Coupon, it's available only until August 18th, so print it and get to the store!]

On top of the savings, sign up for the rewards program! You can earn up to $100 in a year! [How many pairs of shoes will that be?] You earn 1 point for every $1 you spent! Plus you’ll get inside deals! You’ll get 20% off for this back to school sale instead of just 15%!

Awesome! I’m heading there. And may just pick up a pair [or two!] for myself too!

That’s easy enough. Back to school shoe shopping done! I’ll be able to check that one off my list pretty easily… now… onto jeans. Ick!

I have three boys and the older they get the rougher they are on their shoes….the shoes would go to one of them. Most likely tennis shoes or crocs!

I would buy my daughter some new school shoes. She has wide feet and shoes are hard to find in stores for her.

I would buy myself a pair of tennis shoes. I don’t have any right now that are appropriate for work, and that are not falling apart and could really use a new pair!
