Remember earlier in the summer, we helped name the main character for an educational app for preschoolers? After many entries, your votes helped name him Zorbit!

And the app was released for iOS in August, called Zorbit’s Math Adventure.

Zorbit’s Math Adventure is now coming to Android, and we’re celebrating with another naming contest with a chance to win a Google Nexus 7 tablet among other prizes!

Now its time to name Zorbit’s home planet!

Give Zorbit's home planet a name

The contest is to celebrate the launch of the Android version of Zorbit’s Math for Preschool on Google Play.

Here’s the lowdown on Zorbit’s Math Adventure:

Zorbit, an adventurous 9-year-old alien, wants more than anything to travel to Planet Earth! But before he can embark on his awesome journey, your child has to help Zorbit’s mom get him out of bed! Once he’s awake, Zorbit’s mission is to finish building his spaceship and earn the stars he needs to fuel it – with your child’s assistance. Children earn a star for Zorbit with each new math skill they master.

Zorbit’s first stop is for some sticky, gooey, chewy bubblegum from his very own bubblegum machine. Then it’s off to visit Zorbit’s friend Zippy, who needs a hand feeding her pet, Oswald, who loudly burps and poops when he eats too much!  After that, Zorbit’s friend Marty requires assistance counting spaceships as they fly by. Next it’s off to see Sgt. Scrambler, Zorbit’s tough but loving drill sergeant father, who needs some help with repairing rocket ships. The final stage before launch is assisting Chirp, the mechanic, as she prepares Zorbit’s rocket for space – everything from installing blasters to decorating the hull.

Each step of the way, children help Zorbit, absorbing new skills and knowledge as they prepare to blast off for Earth … and Kindergarten.

Zorbit's Math Adventure

Can you help name their planet?

Come up with a name for Zorbit’s planet and if you have the best name that’s picked, Zorbit’s Math Adventure is offering a Google Nexus 7 tablet. Taxes and shipping are included.

How will they determine the best name?

Well, it’s not entirely up to them. This is where it gets fun!

We’re asking you to have your friends and family vote for the name you come up with!

The top ten voted names will then be considered by Zorbit’s Math Adventure and a winning name picked. They’ll then use the winning name in Zorbit’s Math Adventure as their home planet!

There are more prizes too! Second prize is a $100 Amazon gift card, third prize will be a $50 Amazon gift card.

There will also be an additional $50 Amazon gift card given to a winner chosen randomly from all those who just submit a name and/or vote for one. So it doesn’t hurt to just enter any name you can think of!
