Blocks of Fun! 40 Block Activities for Kids
We tend to have our blocks out a lot around here. Whether its legos, or wooden blocks, or our ABC blocks, we include them in a lot of the activities that we do.

Henry and I were having some great quality, quiet time together while George was taking an early nap. We were playing with his Imaginets, matching patterns and shapes. When he started to get bored with that, I mentioned doing some patterning

Baby Play : Block Towers
Any baby [or even preschooler] has a tendency to knock over any tower you build.
George jumped right at the opportunity!
Stacking up blocks at various heights, George crawled right over to plow them down.
Teaching him, amidst his play, all about cause and effect.
