As I mentioned earlier this week in the Letter and Number Scavenger Hunt, we do hunts quite frequently around here.
There’s so many ways to do it that they never get old.

A learning scavenger hunt for preschoolers. Practice uppercase and lowercase alphabet recognition, along with counting while going on a hunt!
I posted briefly about this activity back during the 30 Days to Hands on Play Challenge. But since it was a challenge 

I laugh when I think of this game we did. It was on a whim, and of course, it was made for George, but ended up making it for Henry because he was more interested in it. [It always seems to go 

Go on a scavenger hunt around the house for what’s already all over. The toys! Find them in every color of the rainbow!

I decided that we needed some kind of Valentine’s Day activity to do, instead of just crafty and artsy ideas.
We did a heart hunt last year, with great success.
But this year, I wanted to make Henry think about love a little.

DAY 16 CHALLENGE:
GO ON A HUNT
Spend [at least] 15 minutes of uninterrupted* time going on a hunt! Plan one out with drawings, pictures or words. Or shout out an item 

During naptime, I setup this simple string scavenger hunt.
I strung yarn around the room [a couple rooms actually].
Looping it through furniture and toys, creating a tangled mess.
[I found this string scavenger hunt idea for outside awhile back from Ready. Set. 

It has been a while since I made a scavenger hunt for Henry.
This time I wanted Henry to be more self-sufficient at it.
So I made a scavenger hunt guide with pictures [as well as the word].

Here’s a Valentine’s Day activity or two. We didn’t just do crafts to get ready for Valentine’s Day…
