L-O-V-I-N-G this gorgeous March weather. We’re outside playing in it everyday.
And we had a first the other day.
Henry rolled down our backyard hill! I’ve tried to do this with him a few other times and had no luck in getting him to

Henry and I were having some great quality, quiet time together while George was taking an early nap. We were playing with his Imaginets, matching patterns and shapes. When he started to get bored with that, I mentioned doing some patterning

I’ve mentioned before that Henry’s really been into experiments lately.
He’s created his own experiment as well as begs for others to do quite often.
Like I mentioned in the Become Hands On post last week, I go to Pinterest for a lot

I’ve been meaning to do bottle stamping for ages. And I’m so glad we did it with this one. It was so simple!
Seriously though, I’m even amazed that Henry took to this activity, because it was on one of those

Go on a scavenger hunt around the house for what’s already all over. The toys! Find them in every color of the rainbow!
We’re going on a toy hunt!
A hunt for toys in the colors of the rainbow.

We liked our Strings of Hearts in our dining room so well during Valentine’s Day, that we were talking about them one night at dinner that we should take them down.

Henry had his first homework assignment for preschool.
To create the number 100 out of something.
[Not 100 of something, but to make the numbers themselves.]
We discussed it together to decide what to make.
[Henry told me his teacher made one out of corn!]

The kids and I were out shopping, actually doing it to waste time to pick up Dad.
And I came across these crayon shaped paint sample cards.
I had no plan for them, but I’ve been seeing a million ideas for sample cards lately,

I finally got some colored tape!
I didn’t even have plans for it, but I felt the need to have it for some fun kid activities!
We got to it right away.
I taped some fun lines on the floor in three different colors.

Trying to get Henry focused on writing, or really anything fine-motor related, has been a struggle. He was always about movement, full of energy. Too much energy to sit still and take time to learn such a thing as writing.

Paint a rainbow with a sponge.
I wish I could claim the idea of rainbow sponge painting, but I saw it last year over at Strong Start.
While this is a kid-friendly idea, a lot of the prep needs to be done

Henry wanted to do an experiment.
He said he’d come up with one for us to do after nap.
So, after nap, Henry collected his things for his experiment.
He brought a tractor and his wagons.

After doing our tape maze of numbers. The maze stuck [yes, pun intended] around awhile.
On one of those ‘no-nap’ days, Henry and I kept busy [while George was napping] with blocks and the tape maze and

Whip up some foam using just dish soap and your food processor! Let your kids explore the foam! Its a wonderful sensory activity for kids of all ages.

CraftProjectIdeas.com is showing the love this February.
On top of graciously adding a $1 donation to the American Heart Association for every Heart Book sold in February, they sent me this fun stamp kit! [And one to giveaway to one of

I’m not sure what it is about this Heart art that I like so much.
Maybe its because both the boys did it together.
Or maybe its because I found out how nicely Henry can cut and follow a line.
Or maybe its just because
