Its official. I’m officially in Valentine’s Day mode… and that may be good or bad since its still only mid-January! Eek!
But, I LOVE this LOVE banner the boys made! I think I could keep it hanging in the doorway all year long!
Its beyond simple too.
I cut out the letters from white card stock.
The boys decorated them however they wished! They chose to use crayons and make their own designs.
George and Henry both colored them. They each picked two letters to do.
George the L and E and Henry got the O and V. Louis was off playing trains that he didn’t want to join in.
I cut out 4 squares of pink card stock while they were making their designs.
I also punched two holes at the top of each square, a couple inches apart.
When their letter designs were complete, they each glued their letters on the pink square.
Then they threaded their letters onto red yarn. They worked together to decide what order they needed to be in to spell LOVE. Henry was an awesome older brother helping George know where his letter should be.
I then hung it up in a doorway. Or it would look great in a window too!
You know how I love window decorations! Did you see our heart garlands we made last year?
This was so simple and fast to do. I don’t know why we wouldn’t make a banner like this for all holidays and occasions! How cute would this be with their name for their birthday?!

I love how simple this is and how kids can decorate the letters.

Thanks Melissa — the letters could be decorated however they want! With paint, or glitter or button and sequins!
