We’re outside all the time all of a sudden, and I feel so unprepared! I don’t have any activities in my mind yet for outdoors! Gotta start making a list I guess.
So today I’ll start with some from It’s Playtime! Its crazy that this March weather has let us play outside everyday, and without coats! Crazy! But I’ll take it.
The Artful Child shared 10 ways to play outdoors in the springtime that are sure to get us started.
How about a few more outdoor play ideas:
Above, clockwise from top-left:
- Simple yogurt cups make a fun upcycled waterfall for outside! A Childhood List has a simple tutorial on how to make them!
- Forest Tots took painting outside [and tells you why]. Love the natural aspect of this painting!
- Make music in the yard! Child Central Station has an awesome setup!
- Mixing sand & water [a childhood favorite of my own] can lead to hours of play as it does at Happy Little Messes.
It’s Playtime is a community for play loving bloggers to share ways to play.

We’re in the same boat – the weather has suddenly warmed up and we’re outside but I haven’t got any outdoor play planned in my mind fully yet
