High Five! week 8

High Five!
to This Week’s 5 Hands On Finds!

These are 5 Activities and Crafts that I’ve found
but haven’t had time to try them out yet, but want to make sure I do them.
[my very high-tech way of bookmarking them]

—- I also need some help making the decision if and how I should do a linky party, see below —
High Five!
Funnest Kind of Paint : Curly Birds Rainbow Spin Art : ABC's of Jess's House Grocery Scavenger Hunt : My Kids Make Nailing a Collage : Littlest Birds Studio Bean Bag Game : Brick by Brick
Body Art, Games, Tools, Spin Art and Errands!

Where’d these finds come from?
The following blogs that are full of hands on finds!
[Be sure to give them a High Five! and check out their blogs and leave a comment.]

[1] Bean Bag Game : Brick by Brick
I can see our ABC Mat being used as a throwing mat like this game!
Turning the use of a hammer and nail (tee) into an art!
[3] Grocery Scavenger Hunt : My Kids Make
I love the idea of making a mundane errand into a fun game for the kids! Use pictures from flyer ads for the little ones!
[4] Funnest Kind of Paint : Curly Birds
This just looks like it would end up as a giggle fest – body art!
[5] Rainbow Spin Art : ABC’s of Jess’s House
I gotta get a turn table of some sort! There are so many possibilities! The simplicity of using markers – and many at a time would be so much fun!

I’ve been throwing around the idea of starting a linky party of my own.
What I would call the Wild Child Party.
The topic for linking up : Posts that get your kids up and moving.
[or is fitting for children with excess energy.]

I have 2 things to decide:
[1] Should I do the linky party?
[2] Should I do the linky party separate or together with my weekly High Five! post?
[If I do them together : My weekly finds would be from the party.
If I do the posts separate : I'd still do my own weekly finds (not from the party) and also have a couple features on the linky party for the last week's party.]

What are your thoughts?
Would you link up?

  3. Thanks for the mention and the link to my blog. I do posts like this from time to time but I like the idea of regularly featuring 5 ideas to remember. Now I'm off to find out about that nailing collage.

I think this is great! I shared your five finds on twitter. I think you are doing three great things with these posts.
    1. Saving these activities for you for later.
    2. Giving other great bloggers some exposure.
    3. Giving other people some great ideas!

I won't be in the linky. I share info about reading with kids on my blog. But since you asked for opinions, I'd combine the get moving activities here. If you get things too complicated on your blog, you might not get any time to do the fun stuff you find with your kids.

  9. Cute crafts! I cannot wait till my son is big enough to do that kinda stuff
I am your newest GFC follower and would love it if you could check out my blog.
    Have a wonderful day
