Does this look familiar to you? A tub of blocks, dumped out all over the floor?
This constantly happens in our house. Any tub of toys gets dumped out in its entirety. Blocks are very common to be strewn about the floor.

Who knew Styrofoam packaging from a ceiling fan could provide such entertainment to two little boys?
Add some tools [real tools!] to some good old Styrofoam and let the boys have a blast destructing it.
Or is that all they’re doing?

Another toddler busy play activity!
I’ve been after my husband for some nuts and bolts. I know he has a bunch somewhere [he saves absolutely everything, I'm sure he has a stash!]. I decided to take a look

Dominoes!
I think there’s a lot of potential that could be done for activities with Dominoes, but for now, I just let the boys explore them and see what they thought of them.
Henry immediately began to make a road with them, and George

I was trying to get some bars in the oven to bake, and the boys were not getting along for the life of them the other day and I needed to separate them.

Sidewalk chalk has never really been a hit here before.
We don’t have the smoothest sidewalks or a very smooth driveway. So I’ve just never pushed it. I don’t even enjoy drawing with it on it, so why should they? [I’d

I think it really makes the kids think they’re making something really special. Last year they made a piece of art on canvas with the frozen paints
Bowling is fun for all ages! Even the littlest kids can get a kick out of it just by watching you knock down the pins!
Indoor bowling can be done on a whim so easily! Just take a look around your house for

A quick treasure box made for George with recycled material and real coins.
I received a package and absolutely love this crinkle paper stuff so I had to use it and knew George would love feeling it.

Clothespins! Perfect for those little fingers!
I was thinking about pinching the spring-type clothespins and how great that would be for hand strengthening. But, I found that I had a bunch of these old-fashioned ones too [we had both types out].
Pouring drinks!
A simple life skill to learn, but how do they learn it? With practice!
Take it outside while they learn it. Once they become more precise, bring it inside to the dinner table.

I mentioned a while back that toddler activities are the hardest for me to come up with. To make it even more specific, toddler activities that are creative activities, like art or crafts for toddlers, are that much harder!
The boys have been loving their dirt patch. Henry keeps talking about making mud and turning it to dirt and the other way around, not fully understanding it I don’t think.
