After listing a bunch of toddler activities yesterday, I realized busy play is really good for them. Where it just opens up the door to exploration of materials or a new concept for them.
Plus busy play has its advantages for the parent! It keeps them occupied while you can get something done [like laundry or put dinner on the table], or can keep them quiet in much needed spaces [such as the doctor's office or a restaurant].
Here are a few ideas from It’s Playtime that might help with that!
Above, clockwise from top-left:
- Repeat Crafter Me has 10 Restaurant Games to keep the kids busy! Love these ideas, especially the ABC spy!
- Learners in Bloom keeps the kids busy with buttons! So many activity extensions with this! But sorting colors can occupy the kids long enough I think!
- Build with rocks instead of blocks! A fun activity from Healthy Mama that will keep the kids busy for sure because its different from the norm.
- A tub of flour for sure keeps the kids busy! Daisy Chains took this one outside where they can freely explore for hours!
