10 Fun Things to do in the Snow – Outside!

Winter is coming and these fun things to do in the snow will come in handy!

Whether we like it or not. Snow will eventually fall [at least for us up north… we’re in Iowa, so its bound to happen].

It always seems hard to get outside in the cold [it especially will this winter with a newborn], but the older boys still will want to get out there and play in the snow!

Since the sandbox will be covered… what can the kids do outside?

10 Fun Things to do in the Snow - Outside!

I’ve made a list 10 fun outdoor snow activities that I want to do with the kids this winter. Our winter/snow bucket list, I guess.

Get dressed warm and get outside!

10 Fun things to do in the snow – Outside!

  1. Go sledding! Get a sled, make a sled out of cardboard, and just go!
  2. Build a snowman. Roll some balls, big or small. Build a snowman together. Find rocks for eyes, twigs for arms, and wrap him up warm with a hat and scarf!
  3. Have a snowball fight! Show the kids how to make a snowball. Have target practice. Set up something to throw at and let the kids get some practice in throwing!
  4. Build a snow fort. Pack the walls together to build a safe place for hide out! We have a brick mold builder that the boys use in the sandbox and for snow!
  5. While you’re out shoveling the driveway or sidewalk, let the kids help! Or have them make their own paths… maybe a snow maze!
  6. Stomp through the snow and make footprints!
  7. Instead of making your own footprints, look for animal prints! Do you find rabbit prints? Squirrels? Deer? What’s in your backyard?
  8. Get creative outside in the cold! Paint the snow! Make it colorful!
  9. After a fresh snowfall, go lay out in it and make some snow angels together. Make a whole family!
  10. And, one that will surely be a hit with my boys. Load. Dump. Scoop. Pour. Do it in the snow!

When you’re getting outside in the cold weather, be sure to dress warm and take precautions! And be prepared to warm them up when you get inside! Have a cup of hot chocolate waiting for them with little marshmallows on top!

Oh my family needs this! Two of my children suffer from very dry skin, and it just gets worse in the winter! Thanks for the chance to win!

We would love a chance to win this….our daughter has Down Syndrome and her skin is very very dry. Every night we put lotion on her and then she sleeps like a baby. If we miss a night she tosses all around because her skin is so dry and itchy! Thanks again.

I have a three year old son and husband who suffer from eczema. We are expecting our second baby on Christmas and this would be one less thing to worry about this season!! Thank you!!

I have a 3 year old boy and 9 month old baby boy who both suffer some eczema. We have tried numerous OTC products but none seem to really work every time. I would LOVE the chance to try these out, I love Neosporin for everything else:) Thank you for this giveaway chance!! [email protected]

I just found your blog from Pinterest and have just moved from Arizona to Montana. My little one suffers from eczema and we have been wanting to try that new neosporen line. How interesting that you were doing a giveaway for it and all I was looking or were activities for the snow?! Thanks so much for the tips and the possibility of winning.

My family could REALLY use this prize pack. My husband suffers from eczema and the rest of use have very dry skin during the winter months.

Oh wow, we are definitely going to give this stuff a shot! If it really doesn’t sting, this would be worth its weight in gold. I have eczema and so do my boys (2 & 5), but they still love to be out in the cold which makes it way worse. It’s just starting to flair up this year. :-/ Thanks for the timely post! I came looking at your snow ideas, but this was a great bonus!

My friend’s family has very bad eczema. She’s tried everything and they’re still in bad shape. This would be a great blessing to them.

This kit would be of HUGE help to us right now! My 2 year old son suffers from ecxema something terrible! I always make room in my budget to buy the products we need for him, but we’re small business owners and money is TIGHT right now since winter is our slow season. This would help free up some money in the budget while I’m still getting my little man the relief he needs!

This sounds like the perfect kit for my 17 month old grandson who suffers from eczema and is so uncomfortable during the cold, dry winter months!

    why I should win??
my daught 3 years old has eczema since she was born, i tried evrything and it keeps coming back specially during this winter season, hope I can try this product, might be the answer to our wish this christmas!!

This kit would be awesome to have. For someone who is always in need of moisturizing of the lips (a kiss would be nice too) I would certainly put this fabulous kit to good use. I have liver problems that cause my skin many problems, especially below the knees and to the feet, I have swelling and it causes itching that I have found little solutions to. So I would love to have something to sample instead of spending my hard earned case for prior to knowing whether it works or not. Does neosporin? I don’t know but would certainly give it a try and look forward to this opportunity. thanks

I ran across your site last week and started to follow your posts consistently. I havent commented on any kind of blog site just yet but I was considering to start soon. Its truly exciting to actually contribute to an article even if its only a blog. I really dont know exactly what to write other than I really loved reading through a couple of of your articles. Great articles for sure. I will keep visiting your blog regularly. I learned a lot from you. Thanks!

Thanks for the chance to win a great prize! Eczema is no fun and affects my son in winter too. Another trigger for many is food allergy, with eggs and cow milk being common food triggers. If eczema is hard to control, allergy testing may help. janna8476170@ gmail.com
